Wassenaar

Wassenaar wears Le Marie Marché like a glove. Among the dunes, the villas and the village centre, we host pop-up editions that immediately feel as if they have always been there. The Puurnatuurmarkt is our fixed edition here: artisanal plants, organic delicacies, fresh flowers, and vendors who grow, raise or ferment their own.

The atmosphere is intentionally calm. Wassenaar draws a public that takes the time to sit at a table, talk with the maker, and ask for a second tasting. Alongside the stalls there is live music, often a French accordion or an acoustic trio, plus crêpe and coffee stands open all day.

We often combine these editions with a seasonal high point, blossom in the spring and harvest in the autumn. Entrance is free. An hour in Wassenaar feels like a mini-holiday at the edge of the Randstad.
